    Serves 4

    INGREDIENTS

    • 1 jar 333’s Peppered Pickled Onions cut in halves
    • 50 grams salted butter
    • 2 cloves grated fresh garlic
    • 1 roll of thawed puff pastry
    • 1 beaten egg
    • 200 grams soft goats’ feta
    • 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme
    • Salt and cracked pepper to taste
    • Dash olive oil

      PREPERATION

    Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Rinse onions in colander removing the pickling spices. Heat butter in a saucepan and add the onions, thyme and garlic. Cook the onions on a medium heat until they are caramelised. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. Unroll puff pastry on baking paper. Cut the pastry into a square and use the cut off strips of pastry to make a border, by brushing with a beaten egg and sticking on. Prick the pastry all over with a fork. Arrange the onions, feta and thyme on the tart and brush with the remaining egg mix. 
Bake at 180 degrees for 20 to 25 mintues or until golden brown.
